Programs

Leapwood has many different programs operating our campus.  We have the National School Breakfast and School Lunch program. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of the Leapwood community.  Please click one of the tabs on the left for more information.

Classroom birthday parties take away valuable minutes of instructional time. Therefore, we have a policy at Leapwood Elementary School. Birthdays may still be acknowledged at school. HOWEVER, DO NOT SEND/BRING CAKES, COOKIES, CUPCAKES OR OTHER FOOD ITEMS TO CELEBRATE YOUR CHILD'S BIRTHDAY. THIS POLICY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. We have students with food allergies and medical conditions which can be triggerd from certain foods/ingredients. LAUSD BUL-154111.1 provides details on the school food safety policy which prohibits the delivery of outside food to district school sites. BALLOONS AND DECORATIONS ARE PROHIBITED AS WELL. If you wish to do something special, consider donating a book to the classroom library in your child's name or prepare small (non-food) gifts/grab bags with school supplies. Teachers should be informed prior to distribution of the items. Thank you for your cooperation.
