Welcome to Room 17
This is my 21st year teaching and my 12th year teaching the upper core autism class at Leapwood! I have a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Spanish from Azusa Pacific University, a master's degree in Educational Administration from CSUDH, and hold a special education teaching credential with an autism authorization as well as a preliminary administrative credential. I began my career at the middle school level – first teaching a self contained class and then as a resource specialist teacher. I then worked as a program specialist at the district office for two years before coming to Leapwood. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the progress the students make throughout the year. I love to celebrate all the achievements of the students and am so grateful to be a part of their growth!
